Clinton H. “Clint” Lawton, of Providence, Passes at 83

Clinton H. “Clint” Lawton, 83, of Union Avenue, Providence passed away June 27, 2021.

He was the husband of Carol (Grande) Lawton.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harold and Emma (Folco) Lawton.

Clint was a painter for the family business for many years before becoming a maintenance worker for the Providence Police Department for the last 10 years.

Besides his wife, Clint leaves several cousins and many friends. He was also the brother of the late Emma Forcier.

His funeral with visitation will be held Thursday at 8:30 am in the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence.

Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Clint’s memory to the St. Bartholomew Memorial Fund.
