Costantino DeSantis, of Cranston, Passes Away at 97

Costantino DeSantis, 97, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence.

He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (DeSantis) DeSantis. Born in Sulmona L’Aguila, Italy, he was a son of the late Carmine and Francesca (Ricci) DeSantis.

Mr. DeSantis was a motor equipment operator for the State of RI for 24 years.

He loved spending time gardening and sharing all his food with all his family, friends, and neighbors, where one neighbor mentioned it is a buffet for all animals referring to how large and delicious his garden is.

Costantino is survived by his two loving children, Mary Frances DeSantis and Dean DeSantis both of Cranston. He is predeceased by his seven sisters, Loreta, Maria Domenica, Albina, Laurina, Adelia, Teresa, and Marianna, his three brothers, Giuseppe, Giulio, and Attilio. Costantino also leaves behind several of his nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 14th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Providence.

Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum, Cranston.
