Dolores C. (Mello) Clemente, of N. Providence, Passes at 91

She was the wife of the late Michael J. Clemente. Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Frances (Godinho) Mello.
She was a member and “social butterfly” at the Salvatore Mancini Senior Center, where she was a Red Hatter. She was also an avid reader and bingo player. A longtime communicant at St Lawrence Church in Centerdale until its closing, she was a member of St. Ann’s Sodality and its Altar Society. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Mankind Church.

Dolores leaves three children, Elizabeth Hughes of Land O’Lakes FL, Michael Clemente, Jr. and his wife Yanti of North Kingstown, and Joseph Clemente and his girlfriend Linda Rossi of North Providence, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Bailey, Evelyn Gianlorenzo, Manuel Mello, Martha Crenca, and Elizabeth Izzo.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 8:30 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St, North Providence.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from 5 to 8 pm.
