Doris Brown of East Providence Dies at 91
Doris is also survived by her cousin Joseph Saunier and eight grandchildren (Colton, Austin, Bridget, Alexander, Camille, Kannetha, Nina, Grayson) and two great-grandchildren. Doris enjoyed frequent visits from extended family (Joe Saunier and Adrienne Jamiel) and a parade of many loving caregivers. Doris’ generous spirit extended far into her community. She was a true friend and a compassionate neighbor, always ready with a helping hand, a listening ear, or a comforting word.

Throughout her life she connected with people, read voraciously, and was current with politics, economics, and world events. Doris was a strong, intelligent, well-read, and well-traveled women. She was an amazing Hi-Lo-Jack card player and even at age-91 she was still beating other skilled players. In her younger years, she excelled at the piano and dabbled in sketch work and fashion. Doris took and excelled at several accounting and investment classes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Perry-McStay Funeral Home, located at 2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914. A funeral service to celebrate Doris L. Brown’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Riverside, RI
