Irene Horowitz, of Providence, Dies at 99

She was the beloved wife of the late Jerome Horowitz. Born in San Antonio, TX, and raised in New York City, a daughter of the late Samuel and Sophie (Pinelis) Garber, she was a longtime resident of Providence. Irene was an avid bridge player and member of the RI Bridge Club.
Devoted mother of Steven Horowitz and his wife, Cynthia, of Narragansett, Robin Bautista and her partner, Robert, of Cumberland and the late Sidney Horowitz and his surviving wife, Carol, of Deltona, FL. Dear sister of the late Louis Garber, Tex Fein, and Sidney Garber. Loving grandmother of Sharon (Michael), Jeremy (Megan), Jaime, Rachel (Chris), Lindsay (Bobby), Kaile, and the late Jeffrey (Tammy). Cherished great-grandmother of 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
