Janice A. (Spargo) DePalma of Cranston Dies at 59

Janice A. DePalma (Spargo), 59, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, November 17th at Rhode Island Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was the proud loving mother of Michael T. DePalma. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Donald F. and Barbara C. (Cronin) Spargo.
Janice was a lifelong resident of Cranston.

She was previously an accountant with FM Global for over 20 years before leaving in 2008. Most recently, she managed the accounting department at a food distribution company. She was an alumna of St. Xavier Academy, Class of 1982, a graduate of CCRI in 1984, and attended Rhode Island College. Janice enjoyed spending her summers at her family’s beach house at Roy Carpenter’s Beach. She loved to travel and spend time with her family, friends, and cousins.

Most of all, she loved her son, Michael more than anything.

Besides her son, Janice leaves her dear sister Susan Spargo DeRosa, and husband, James of Cranston. She was the beloved niece of Jack and Joyce Cronin. She was the cherished aunt of Daniel T. DeRosa and Catherine C. DeRosa. Janice was loved dearly by numerous friends, cousins, and extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Mark Church, 15 Garden Court, Garden City Cranston at 11 AM. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
