Jean A. (Giuliano) George, Worked for RI DCYF for More Than 20 Years, Dies at 85

Jean A. (Giuliano) George, 85, of Narragansett passed away on July 4, 2023.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alma (DeCesare) Giuliano.

Jean worked for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Children, Youth & Families for over twenty years, retiring as a court liaison. She served on the West Warwick School Committee and actively supported the Ocean Tides School and St. Joseph’s Indian School. After her retirement, she worked tirelessly as an advocate helping children and families connect.
She was a member of the Brown Club; and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Jean leaves five children, Debbie Hibbard and her husband Chet of Embden, ME, Charles George and his husband Dennis Rivard of Ogunquit, ME, Brenda Cianciolo and her husband Murray of East Greenwich, RI, Lorine Foley of Narragansett and Stephanie George of RI; a sister, Cynthia D’Amico and her late husband Donald of Naples, FL; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Angela, Jaclyn, Julia, William, James, Gina, Natasha, Nikole and the late Seth and Angel; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Mason.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 8:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Wakefield. VISITING HOURS Monday from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ocean Tides School, 635 Ocean Road, Narragansett, RI 02882 or St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 North Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
