Korean War Veteran Richard A. Imondi of Greenville Dies at 96

Richard A. Imondi, 96, of Greenville, passed away on February 1, 2025, with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of Josephine (Markarian) Imondi for 66 years before her passing in 2023.

 

Richard was a contractor and owner of Hi Quality Builders for many years before retiring.  He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing card and doing jigsaw puzzles.  Richard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his children, Raymond Imondi, Wendy Imondi, and Michael Imondi, five grandchildren, Anna Robertson, Michael Imondi, Ashley Imondi, Joseph Imondi, and Alexia Imondi, three great-grandchildren, Hunter and Brooke Robertson and Kinsley Imondi, as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was the father of the late Steven Imondi and was the brother of the late Ernest Imondi and Anna Bucci.

 

His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 8:45 from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville.  Burial with military honors will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.  

 

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-7 pm.
