Long-Time Cranston Principal Louis Ferri, Jr. Dies at 96

Louis was a graduate of Central High School and Providence College. He was a devoted school principal for over 40 years. He worked in Cranston Public Schools his entire career. His former teachers and students will remember “Mr. Ferri” as a dedicated and caring educator.
Louis was a faithful communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, where he served with the St. Joseph’s Men’s Guild. He enjoyed spending summers in Bonnet Shores relaxing on the beach and was actively involved with the Bonnet Shores Fire District for many years.

Besides his wife, he leaves two children, Louis A. Ferri (fiancé Loretta Kennedy) and his daughter Donna J. Stephens (husband M. Scott Stephens) and his loving sister Nancy Ronci. He was the cherished Papa to his triplet grandchildren, Dr. Michael L. Stephens, Victoria L. Stephens and Dr. Christina M. Stephens. He was the brother of the late John Ferri and Lee Cece.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Tuesday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 70 Bath Street, Providence, RI 02908 or the Bonnet Shores Fire District to benefit their summer camp, 130 Bonnet Shores Road, Narragansett, RI 02882.
