Mary Ann Almeida of East Providence Dies at 80

Mary Ann Almeida 80, of Bently Street, East Providence, R.I., passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at home. She was the wife of John Almeida.

Born January 24, 1942, in Providence, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Raymond L. & Phyllis R. (Ferri) Perry.

Mrs. Almeida worked for the East Providence Housing Authority for twenty years as a Housing Administrator. Mrs. Almeida adored her grandchildren, a parishioner of Saint Francis of Xavier Church; she enjoyed ceramics, Reading and attending shows at Providence Performing Arts Center. She enjoyed Senior Citizens Trips with the Recreation Department, A Reserve Police Officer during the 1960’s she was also a member of the Police Officers Association.

Besides her husband of forty-seven years, she leaves, one Daughter, Lisa Collamore of Warren, R.I., one Granddaughter, Erica (Collamore) Harper (Justin) of Bristol, R.I., one Great Grand Daughter Josie Harper of Bristol, R.I., one Brother, Raymond Perry (Wendy) of Jamestown, R.I.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 10:00 am at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 81 N. Carpenter Street, East Providence, R.I.,

Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, R.I.,
