Maureen G. Madden (O’Malley) of Warwick dies at 85

Maureen G. Madden (O’Malley), 85, of Warwick, died Monday, July 14th, at the Brentwood Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of John T. Madden, Esq.
Born and raised in Providence, she was one of eight children of the late George and Helen (Baker) O’Malley. A graduate of St. Xavier’s Academy and Whidden Hospital School of Nursing, she worked for many years as a nurse at the Genesis School in Providence. She had been a Warwick resident for the past fifty-seven years.

“Mo” was beautiful, kind, stylish, and quick to laugh. She loved the beach and shopping and all kinds of music. Curious and approachable, she lifted the spirits of those she’d encounter during her day. All the wonderful people in her life were constantly reminded of her love and affection by a gift bag or thoughtful note, or a check-in on the phone. She had beautiful friendships. What brought her most joy was her family- her husband Jack, her children and beloved grandchildren, as well as her sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews. She was most content when her big family was together.

Maureen brought warmth and kindness to so many people.
