Navy Veteran Retired Psychologist Providence Schools Joseph Tracy PhD Dies at 88

Joseph F. Tracy, PhD., 88, of Naples, FL, passed away on February 10, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Phyllis A. (McDole) Tracy.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Margaret M. (Valentine) Tracy.

Joseph proudly served his country as a Commander in the US Navy Reserves for 25 years and he retired as a psychologist working for the Providence school system.

Besides his beloved wife of 43years, he is survived by his sons, Paul Campbell (Dawn), Michael Campbell (Kathy), Thomas Campbell, and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Claire DuPont, and has two beloved nephews David, and Danny Dupont.

There will be a wake Tuesday evening 5-7 pm and Wednesday at 9 am, from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at St. Francis deSales Church, 381 School St. North Kingstown.

Burial in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
