Navy WWII Veteran, Chief William A. Gallucci, WWPD (Ret.), 96, of West Warwick
Chief William A. Gallucci, WWPD (Ret.), 96, of West Warwick, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, after a brief illness.
He was the beloved husband of Jeannine G. (Cayouette) Gallucci. They had been married for 73 years. Born in Warwick, a son of the late John and Angelina (Perretta) Gallucci.

Upon retiring, he owned and operated Metro Security Company. He then spent ten years as a Security Consultant for G-Tech Worldwide.
Chief Gallucci was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy. He was a member of the first graduating class in the School of Criminology at URI. He served as Chairman of the Police Widows Pension Commission, Chairman of the Crime Lab Commission, member and President of the Rhode Police Chiefs Association, a member and President of the New England Police Chiefs Association, and was also involved with the New York Veteran Police Association.
For the past 59 years, he hosted an annual gathering of law enforcement personnel from all over the country, fondly referred to as “The Bake”. He enjoyed travelling, dining out and socializing with his friends.
Besides his wife, he leaves five children, Joyce D’Orsi (Peter), Gary Gallucci (Carol), Linda Wojcik (Bill), Paul Gallucci (Elena) and Joan Brousseau (Peter, Chief WWPD, Ret.); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Alfred Gallucci. He was the brother of the late John Gallucci, Frank Gallucci, Lindy Gallucci, Norma Messier, and Albert Gallucci.
