Owner of McShawn’s Pub, John J. Lomas of Cranston, Dies at 74
John J. Lomas, 74, of Cranston, died Tuesday, December 24th at Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Harold and Mary (Holland) Lomas, he had been a Cranston resident for most of his life. John was the long-time owner of McShawn’s Pub in Cranston. John was continually active in sponsoring many local teams and civic activities. He was especially proud to support local veterans' organizations and helping to raise funds for the Annual Honor Flight to Washington D.C.
John leaves three sisters, Judith G. Marchak, Nancy Furtado both of Cranston, and Sallie P. Prisco and her husband, Joseph of Warwick; his nieces, Jennifer Prisco of Boston, and Christina Prisco of Warwick; many cousins. He was the dear friend of Maureen Valliere of Warwick and her son, Rev. Lawrence Valliere of Fall River, MA.
Calling hours will be Friday, January 3rd, in the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, from 4-6 PM. A prayer service will follow at 6 PM. In lieu of Flowers donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society 931 Jefferson Blvd. Ste. 3004 His burial in Saint Ann Cemetery will be private. www.trainorfh.com
