RI GOP Activist, US DOL Top Staffer, Patrick Michael Mannix, of Narragansett, Passes at 50

Born in Providence, he was a son of Patricia A. Mannix of Narragansett and the late Michael T. Mannix; brother of Matthew M. Mannix of Narragansett, Lt. Colonel Michael George Mannix of Linthicum, Maryland and Christopher T. Mannix of Narragansett; brother-in-law of Major Dawn L. Mannix and uncle of Meghan K. Mannix of Linthicum, Maryland. He was cherished by many loving relatives and friends.
Patrick was raised in the Bonnet Shores area of Narragansett. He graduated from Monsignor Clarke School, Narragansett High School, and Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

Prior to that proud accomplishment, Patrick worked in a variety of industries and services, varying from financial services to public relations, most notably improving the lives of and job opportunities for disabled Americans.
Patrick touched the lives of all he knew and had a generous heart. Patrick possessed an old-school patriotism, loved his Irish heritage, was a proud Roman Catholic, loved the ocean, and made Christmas special every year.
A longtime St. Thomas More parishioner, Patrick was also a devoted member of the St. Philip Neri Parish and School while living in Maryland.
His funeral will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 8:15 am from Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory-South County Chapel, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt. 1A), Narragansett with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett.
Visiting hours Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 10 am-Noon.
