Proprietor of Former Manville Coffee Shop, Suzanne T. (Pinsonneault) Silva, Dies

Suzanne T. (Pinsonneault) Silva, 83, of Railroad Street, Manville, died Monday, June 7, 2021, at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket, five days after her 83rd birthday.  

She was the former wife of the late Octave “Joe” Silva.

Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Rosario and Lemea (Delisle) Pinsonneault, she was a lifelong resident of Manville.

Mrs. Silva was the proprietor of the former Manville Coffee Shop, as well as the owner of the former Knit & Pearl Yarn Shop, Manville.  When she was younger, she worked for her grandfather at Sue’s Rendezvous.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and most of all she loved family parties.  She was a die-hard Red Sox fan.  She was a graduate of St. Clare High School, Woonsocket.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Duguay, and her husband Denis, of Manville; one son, Gary Silva of Long Beach, California; one grandson, Matthew Benoit, of Manville; and her beloved dog, Bentley.  She was predeceased by her beloved dog Belle.

Her funeral, with burial in St. James Cemetery, Manville, will be private.
