Restaurant Owner, Pik Ling "Penny" (Kwan) Chau, Formerly of Cranston, Dies at 63

She was the beloved wife of Wing Kwong Chau. Born in China, Pik was a daughter of the late Kwan and Kwan Mei (Hing) Chi. She was the owner and operator of several restaurants including, Dragon Express in Newport RI, Chau Dynasty in Portsmouth RI, Ming Dynasty in Johnston RI, Canton Island in Wakefield RI, and China Dragon in Bonnet Shores, Narraganset RI.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children Kenton Gwo Liang Chau and his wife Pollyanna of Attleboro, MA, and Cindy Li Yee Parente and her husband Derek of Middletown. Pik was the cherished grandmother of Kai Wah Chau, Ekin Fu Chau, and Theo Joseph Parente. She was the dear sister of Ning Guan of South Weymouth, MA, Wei Guan of Boston, MA, and LiLi Guan of South Boston, MA.
