George was a retired Director of the Zuccolo Recreation Center in Providence. He was a wonderful, hardworking family man. He was raised in Providence’s Federal Hill area, in a large traditional Italian family surrounded by many relatives. A good brother, father and friend he was outgoing with a great sense of humor. In 1962 he joined the United States Army, after being Honorably discharged he married his beautiful wife, Caroline with whom he made his life for over fifty years until her recent passing.
George was a sports enthusiast, a Red Sox fanatic! He was a fantastic cook, he loved to make sausage and rabbe or sausage and peppers for family and friends and when he combined that with his beloved Red Sox, it was perfection. In his retirement, he could often be found on Atwells Ave., chatting with his brother, talking sports and politics with his friends, having his coffee, reading his newspapers. Sometimes he could even be found at Holy Ghost, chatting with Fr. Francesco.
Services for George, to which family and friends are invited to attend, will be held in the Berarducci Funeral Home, 26 Grove St. Providence, Tuesday, November 9th. 2021 at 9 am.
