Retired Executive Secretary to the Dean at RISD, Mary B. Kenney, Dies at 92
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Julia M. (Thornley) Benedict, she lived in Riverside for 44 years.
Mrs. Kenney was an executive secretary for the Dean of Rhode Island School of Design for 23 years before retiring in 1995. She previously was a teacher in the Coventry School Department.

She was a communicant, Eucharistic minister, and past treasurer of the St. Martha’s Church Rosary and Altar Society. She also was a volunteer at Bradley Hospital.
She was the sister of the late Marjorie E. Higgins, Dorothy F. Northup, Mildred, Joseph, Raymond, and Gordon Benedict.
A private committal service and burial will be held in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
