Rosa P. Figueiredo, of Central Falls, Passes at 79

Rosa P. Figueiredo, 79, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at home.

Born in Isua, Penalva do Castelo, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Casimiro and Madalena (Pinto) Alves Figueiredo. Rosa came to this country in 1970 and settled in Central Falls.

She enjoyed babysitting her many nieces and nephews and taking them to various parks in the area. Most of all Rosa enjoyed and cherished her time spent with her family.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland. Rosa was employed for more than 12 years at Texas Instruments in Attleboro, MA, previously she worked at the former Carlton Division, Central Falls for 18 years.

She is survived by her grandson; Anthony Figueiredo. Her brothers and sisters; Manuel Alves Figueiredo, Jose Alves Figueiredo, Maria Andrade, Candida Costa all of Portugal. Duarte Alves Figueiredo of Cumberland, Maria Carmo Alves of Pawtucket, Adao Alves Figueiredo of Central Falls, Victor Alves Figueiredo of Pawtucket, and Cristina Correia of Central Falls along with her brother-in-laws, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, step-nieces and step-nephews. She was the mother of the late Fernando Figueiredo and the sister of the late Henriqueta Figueiredo Cardoso.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Rosa's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Friday, April 16, 2021, from 9 am to 10:30 am in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
