Ruth S. Brown of Providence Dies at 83

Ruth S. Brown, 83, of Providence, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at West Shore Health Center in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Melvin Brown. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late George T. Smith, Sr. and Ruth A. (Fisher) Smith.

 

Ruth was the devoted mother of Richard Lucas and his wife Sylvia Lucas of Providence; dear sister of Judith M. Woods of Warwick, William F. Smith of Long Beach, CA, and the late George T. Smith, Jr., Richard Smith, and Stephen H. Smith; cherished grandmother of three; great-grandmother of five and great-great-grandmother of two. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

VISITING HOURS are Friday, October 4th, from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 5 p.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be private.
