URI Basketball Hall of Famer and Radio Voice Don Kaull Has Died at 77

Don Kaull, former URI basketball star and longtime radio voice of the University of Rhode Island men's basketball team, has died. He was 77.

Kaull stepped down as the voice of URI basketball prior to the beginning of this season after decades behind the mic.

He was admitted into the URI Hall of Fame in 1985, “DONALD N. KAULL '67 earned three varsity letters and was team captain and All-Conference in basketball. Vice president of a highly successful insurance firm and president of the R.I. Association of Insurance Agents, Kaull is a longtime radio analyst for basketball. He is very active in community and civic affairs and supportive of his alma mater and its athletic program.”

Professionally he was an insurance executive.

He was a sports star and a graduate of Rogers High School in Newport.
