Vietnam Veteran Gary A. Troiani of Hope Dies at 77

Gary A. Troiani, 77 of Hope passed away on Tuesday July 16, 2024 with his family by his side. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Loredo and Guliette (Cataldi) Troiani. He was the devoted husband of Diana Troiani, of 51 years.

Gary proudly served his country in the US Army, in the Vietnam War. He was a production manager for many years for Monet Jewelers. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends. He enjoyed cooking, and grilling. He looked forward to vacationing and spending time with his family. In his later years he could be found watching the news in the recliner, with his beloved dog Ellie by his side. 

 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Cristopher and his cherished granddaughters Lauren Troiani and Olivia Troiani. He leaves a sister Janice DeCesare and her husband Albert, and his sisters-in-laws Marie Hewitt, Linda DiMascio and her husband Frank, Kathleen Hassell and her husband Walter. He was the uncle of Michael Hewitt, Kimberly DiMascio, Walter Hassel, Corey Hassel, Brandon DeCesare, Mason Cardoso, Bella Cardoso and Blyley.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
