Vivian A. (Scialla) Iadevaia, formerly of Warwick, Dies at 94
After graduating from Cranston High School East in 1949, Vivian went to Jo-Ann’s Beauty School, graduated and received her Cosmetology License in 1950. She worked in various salons, then went on to receive her Educator license in 1964. Vivian taught at Jo-Ann’s Beauty School and then at Arthur Angelo’s, where she became the Dean of Education. In 1988 she was an Assistant Examiner for the State Board of Health. She received a Barber’s License in 1992, attended classes at RIC, and attended advanced education classes from Redken, Clairol, Wella, and Matrix. Vivian was a member of “Look Good-Feel Better” National Cosmetology Association. Held office as Financial Secretary, and Trustee on the Board of Directors of the R.I.H.C.A. She educated future professional cosmetologists for over 60 years.
Vivian was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew’s Church, Providence and St. Benedict’s Church in Warwick where she will always be remembered for her tireless effort in Church activities. She worked with the SPRED Program, was a catechist, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a minister of the Eucharist and a member of the choir.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend VISITATION on Monday, July 7th, from 8:45-9:30 a.m. at “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin’s Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to a charity dear to Vivian’s heart, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where she held an office position and worked on fundraisers.
