WW II Veteran Howard D. Lane Dies at 95

Howard D. Lane Dies at 95 of Providence, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 at Steere House in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Claire (Felici) Lane.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Violet (Nichol) Lane.

Mr. Lane was a Trust Officer for State Street Bank and a WW-II U.S. Army veteran.

Besides his wife Claire, he was the devoted father of Kenneth P. Lane of Hannibal, MO, Stephen E. Lane (Shashona) of Southborough, MA, and Bruce D. Lane (Mindy) of Warwick; dear brother of the late William Lane; cherished grandfather of Brandon Lane (Giusep), Devin Lane (Helen), Justin Castelli (Michelle), Shari Castelli (Declan), Alicia Lane (Africanus). Nicholas Lane (Anna), Rachel Lane, Kathryn Lane, Emily Novak and Mia Novak; and loving great-grandfather of three.

His Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Tuesday, November 15th at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, followed by a graveside service with military honors at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
