WWII Navy Veteran Clifford D. Fantel, formerly of Kingston Dies at 96

Cliff worked in sales for Con Edison for many years before retiring. He was a WWII United States Navy Veteran. Cliff was a longtime member of the Kingston Congregational Church, South County Museum, Pettaquamscutt Historical Society. He volunteered for The US Department of Fish and wildlife, Tavern Hall Club, Matunuck Rocket scientists. He was a life member and ex-Chief of the Bedford Hills, NY Fire Department and Hope lodge #25
He was the loving father of Clifford J. Fantel, wife Donna, Kenneth R. Fantel, wife Debra and Carole Havelick, husband Chris. Grandfather to Carrie Lucas, husband Anthony, Brian Fantel, wife Shawna, Kristen Henderson, husband Tim, C. John Fantel Jr., Dan Havelick, fiance Ali, and Kevin. Great grand children Kara Fantel, Brooklyn Fantel, August Fantel, Ava Lucas, Nathan Lucas, and Alyssa Henderson.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Kingston Congregational Church, 2610 Kingstown Road, Kingston. Burial will be private.
