PAGE 3: Payments to informant will now total $22,425. Informant “is scheduled to testify in the upcoming trials of LCN figures Santo Traficante and Raymond Patriarca.”

PAGE 7-14 The handwritten letter from the FBI informant to FBI Director William Webster outlining what the Bureau is asking him to do and his need to be fairly compensated for providing testimony.

Webster served as head of the FBI from 1978 to 1987 under Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. The informant was the key witness in the Justice Department’s car against Raymond Patriarca and officers of Laborers International Union.

PAGE 16 Informant “is no longer agreeable to the proper under which REDACTED would relocate himself in a secure area and receive $1,600.00 per month to cover relocation expenses. REDACTED advised the only arrangement he would accept is a lump sum payment of $140,000.00…He sounds and acts depressed as well as anxious conceding his and his family’s personal and financial security.”

PAGES 39-41 FBI Memo to the Director outlines how informant Roger Nault of Woonsocket, was killed while living in New Orleans under the name Richard Neville. He was struck by a car in front of his home.

“Nault’s testimony in this matter would have been particularly incriminating…possibility exists that Nault was victim of retaliation by subjects.”

PAGE 45-46 Report indicates that the death of Nault was accidental. There are nearly 20 pages of accident reports.
