While "shove it" may have ended Frank Caprio's race for Governor, this video may have have been more influential. The day after the primary, the Democrats met for a "unity tour." GoLocalProv interviewed the Dem's Frank Caprio and asked him about the extension of the Bush tax-cuts.  In the days leading up to the primary nearly every Democrat in the state had ripped the idea of extending the Bush tax cuts as a benefit for only the rich.  When Caprio defended the Bush tax cuts on this exclusive GoLocal video - it sent many a progressive groups and a plethora of unions racing to independent candidate Lincoln Chafee.

This video was a game changer. Ironically, after the general election President Obama flipped on his position and dragged the rest of the Democratic party along on a deal that extended the Bush tax cuts.
