Amore Launching Run for Secretary of State Next Week - Shekarchi to Join at Campaign Kick-Off

State Representative Gregg Amore (Democrat - District 65, East Providence) is officially running for Rhode Island Secretary of State.

Amore, who serves as Deputy Majority Leader, was first elected to the General Assembly in 2012. 

According to a release sent Friday morning, Amore will officially launch his candidacy next Wednesday, September 15, at the new East Providence High School.

He is expected to be joined by House Speaker Joe Shekarchi.

In addition, Senator Valarie Lawson, Representative Katherine Kazarian, Representative Karen Alzate, and East Providence High School teacher Richard Martin, are expected to attend.
