BREAKING: Hinckley Concedes

GOP Senate candidate Barry Hinckley has conceded the race to Democratic incumbent Sheldon Whitehouse.

“It’s been an amazing ride,” Hinckley said, speaking t the Providence Marriot. “I think we offered Rhode Island a really, really clear choice.”

With the second highest unemployment rate in the nation and a candidate who had experience in job creation, Hinckley said he should have been able to garner a majority of the vote. “Unfortunately we found out that’s not what Rhode Island wanted,” Hinckley said.
