If the Ossoff lead holds, the implications are significant for President-elect Joe Biden and for Rhode Island’s Jack Reed.
As a result of a Georgia sweep, Democrats would hold the Presidency and both chambers of Congress. Goldman Sachs predicted Tuesday that if the Democrats capture "the United States Senate another tranche of aid for state and local governments (a contentious provision that was left out of the latest package amid pushback from the GOP), a further extension of expanded federal unemployment benefits, and possible student loan relief, along with additional funding for nutrition programs."
