Governor’s Aide Put on Leave After Charges in Vermont

Both charges were filed as felonies.

Police also said he had a Stowe address.
The newspaper reported, "Trooper John Gildea said police received a complaint about a burglary on Sunset Drive in the town of Waterbury about 1 p.m. on Saturday."
The State of Rhode Island said Farrell is on leave.
“While we will not be commenting further on this ongoing issue, Mr. Farrell has been put on administrative leave pending the outcome of this personnel, health matter,” said Laura Hart, Chief Public Affairs Officer for the RI Department of Administration.
“After the incident, Farrell was transported by Waterbury EMS to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin to speak with a screener from Washington County Mental Health Services,” according to the report.
