Guest MINDSETTER™ Clifford: The Mindset of Rhode Island Voters

Jack Reed
The RI Congressional delegation continues to amaze me.

I called Senator Jack Reed’s office to ask him why he has not co-sponsored the Medicare for All bill in the Senate.

I was told the Senator does not have a statement on Medicare for All.

I replied to the person, I didn’t care about his statement, I wanted to know his ‘position’ on Medicare For All and was told he does not have one.

I told the person I found that incomprehensible as 84% of Democrats, more than 50% of Republicans, and the other 3 members of the RI delegation have all signed on to respective bills.

I don’t see any logical reason for the Senior Senator from Rhode Island not having a position on such a vital issue to Rhode Island residents.

I know that his boss, Senator Chuck Schumer is opposed to it, so I wonder if Senator Reed is a mere puppet of Schumer.

There can only be one other reason for his not supporting Medicare for All, and to use the vernacular, it has to do with the “Benjamins”.

I don’t understand the mindset of Rhode Island voters.
