Hodgson Names Gobeil as Campaign Manager

Andrew Gobeil
Republican candidate for Attorney General Dawson Hodgson has announced the appointment of Andrew Gobeil as his campaign manager.

“We’re thrilled to have Andrew on board,” Hodgson said.  “His extensive experience covering politics and managing newsrooms makes him the ideal choice to run the campaign.”

Gobeil started covering politics as a teenager for a Cape Cod radio station three decades ago.  His resume included stints as one of the youngest NPR affiliate news directors in the country, Washington editor and national correspondent for a television station group, and managing editor and host of a statewide public affairs program.

Gobeil served as the morning co-anchor at Providence’s ABC-TV affiliate and co-host of a morning news program on WPRO radio.  He is currently working on a non-fiction book about the journalism business.

“I am ecstatic about the opportunity to help elect Dawson as Rhode Island’s Attorney General,” said Gobeil.  “His experience as a prosecutor and his work in the Senate give him the perfect background to help change the culture of Rhode Island politics, and improve the lives of all Rhode Islanders.”
