Trump is performing far better than he did in 2016 and 2020.
In 2016, he received 180,543 votes and 38.9% and lost by 16% to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
In 2020, more than 50,000 more Rhode Islanders voted, and Trump’s total number of votes increased to 199,922, but his percentage of the vote fell to 38.6%. His loss to President Joe Biden was by nearly 21%.
