Tavares
  • Tavares held a Thursday night fundraiser headlined by a plethora of young Providence-based Dems, including: Meghan Grady, GoLocalProv's own MINDSETTER™ Matt Jerzyk, Victor Capellan, Chris Blazejewski, and  Delia Rodriguez-Masjoan.

ken block
  • Ken Block, the Moderate Party's founder and candidate for Governor, is releasing its first television commercial. The commercial's theme of "Expect More," is one that "has been resonating with voters." Block says he has been making his way through the state, speaking at events and meeting voters and the "idea that we need new people in government has created great enthusiasm at every stop."

Segal
  • Word is that fundraising is turning very difficult in 2nd quarter.  The crowded race for Governor, Mayor, 1st Congressional District, and Attorney General are all competing for the same limited pool of instate dollars.

  • David Segal is looking like an X-factor in the 1st Congressional Race - raising in excess of $100,000 in less than 10-days via the Internet and prompted by national progressive groups.
