Langevin Votes to Censure Rep. Gosar for Posting Violent Video Targeting Ocasio-Cortez and Biden

Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) on Wednesday voted to censure Congressman Paul Gosar for posting a video that depicted himself murdering his colleague Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and attacking President Joe Biden.

Langevin issued the following statement:

“No workplace in America would tolerate an employee who openly encourages violence against another employee. Congress should be no different,” said Langevin.

“Just months ago, violent insurrectionists breached the United States Capitol and stalked the halls of Congress in hopes of inflicting harm upon numerous elected officials. There is no room for Congressman Gosar’s unhinged, violent fantasies in the House of Representatives," he added.
