Creating a better future –- that is the biggest issue.  And that is why I am running for office for the very first time.  Creating a better future requires a vision and my vision is clear.  The time for change is now.  And that is why I will be the next State Representative in District 16.

2.  What do we need to do to improve Rhode Island's economy?

Investing in education is the key to creating a better economy.  As a husband and father of two young girls, I know that the time for investing in education is now.  As the new voice in District 16, I will fight to make our school –- pre-K through PhD –- the best.  That is the first step to creating sustainable improvement in Rhode Island’s economy and improving our quality of life.

3.  What is the greatest challenge facing Rhode Island as a state?

As I’ve walked door-to-door, I’ve learned that people are concerned about many issues, but the issue of ethics and accountability is the greatest challenge facing our state.  The time for improving ethics and accountability is now.  As a new voice, I will fight for strengthening ethics laws, tightening up oversight and accountability, and reforming legislative grants.  This is the second step to creating sustainable improvement in Rhode Island’s economy and improving our quality of life.

4.  Why are you running for office? What makes you uniquely qualified?

As I’ve said many times, as a husband and a father of two young girls, I am running for office for the first time because we must create a better future.  My vision is clear.  I am for investing in education, fighting for ethics and accountability, and improving our quality of life.  As a life-long Rhode Islander, and a local attorney –- I am uniquely qualified for serving as State Representative and I am ready to hit the ground running.  And having leaders who are focused on the future is the third step in creating sustainable improvement to Rhode Island’s economy and improving our quality of life.

5.  Who is your inspiration?

My inspiration is my family.  My wife and my girls inspire me every day.  My mom and my brother, my aunts and my uncles, my cousins and my friends inspire me, too.  But it is my Dad –- who passed away when I was 21, who never got to see me graduate from Providence College or Roger Williams University School of Law, who never got to see me become a husband or a father –- who I am thinking of most often these days.  I am remembering talking with my Dad about politics and our admiration of real leaders, like President Kennedy.  If my Dad could see me today, he’d be proud to see me running for office to create a better future for the next generation.
