"There are some things more important than politics and one of those things is supporting the victims of violence. As a former criminal prosecutor for the State of Rhode Island, I believe deeply in the need to aid crime victims. Ken Block crossed a line when he criticized Andrea Martin and questioned her motives for appearing in a political ad, and he needs to apologize publicly to her. Specifically, Ken Block accused Andrea Martin of a "quid pro quo" - suggesting she appeared in the ad in exchange for receiving compensation from the state crime victim's fund. Violence against women is something we should all stand against. Andrea Martin is a victim. She does not deserve to be victimized again," Fung said.
