A new poll is showing that Democrat David Cicilline and Republican John Loughlin are in a “dead heat” in the First Congressional District race. The NBC 10-Quest Research poll showed Cicilline with 42 percent of the vote while Loughlin had 40 percent—well within the 4.5 percent margin of error. The poll was based on a survey of 486 likely voters.
Independent candidates Gregory Raposa and Ken Capalbo had 5 percent and 4 percent and the remaining 9 percent were either undecided or did not answer.
