Women Holding Office honorees
As a part of this year's Women Holding Office Celebration, two women will be honored as rising political stars - Smithfield Town Council Member Suzy Alba and Jamestown Town Council President Kristine S. Trocki.
Councilwoman Alba was elected as a member of the Town Council in Smithfield in November 2012, earning the highest number of votes among nine other candidates. As a council member, she serves as the liaison to the town’s Affordable Housing Advisory Board and is a member of the Smithfield Public Schools Citizens Advisory Group.
Council President Trocki was elected to the Jamestown Town Council in November 2012 and soon after became the council president. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, two women will be honored with Isabelle Ahearn O'Neill Awards - Susan L. Farmer and Kathleen S. Connell. All elected women in attendance will be recognized for their service to our community.
