Fox News' Maria Bartiromo is saying sources told her Rhode Island native General Michael Flynn will be “completely exonerated” this week — and President Donald Trump shared the news. 

Bartiromo on Sunday Tweeted:

Latest Developments

In March, GoLocalProv reported that Trump was considering pardoning former National Security Adviser and native Rhode Islander retired General Michael Flynn.

“So now it is reported that, after destroying his life & the life of his wonderful family (and many others also), the FBI, working in conjunction with the Justice Department, has “lost” the records of General Michael Flynn. How convenient. I am strongly considering a Full Pardon!” said Trump in his tweet.

Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI during its investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign.

In January, however, attorneys for Flynn filed a motion to withdraw Flynn’s 2017 guilty plea for lying to the FBI.
