Looking Ahead

McKee will face Republican Catherine Taylor in the general election on November 4.

McKee had fought during the primary campaign to utilize campaign funds from his run for Mayor of Cumberland prior to 2013, which the Board of Elections repeatedly denied.

In addition, McKee broke into the statewide spotlight when he helped to lead the effort to create the Mayoral Academies. He received backing from national education reform groups.
