Which Candidate Is Most Rhode Island? Secretary of State

There are three candidates for Secretary of State: two Democrats locked in a competitive primary and one Republican who is one of the few women running for office this election cycle. Their Rhode Island factor could not be more varied. State Senator Lou Raptakis is Mr. Rhode Island and GOP candidate Catherine Taylor must only summer here as here according to her score.

In the proverbial Goldilocks comparison, Incumbent Ralph Mollis must be "just right" as he was born, raised and has worked here, but went to college outside the state.

Raptakis' Rhode Island factor is a marvel as he racked up 50 total points and scored a 4 out of 5 for a RI accent.

Taylor, on the other hand, may try to claim her 20 years on the staffs of Senators John Chafee and Linc Chafee should qualify her for some special Rhode Island dispensation, but, unfortunately, she will have to cling to having given birth to children in Rhode Island. Sadly, she scores a total score of -12.5.  Democrat Ralph Mollis scores a total of 35 and an impressive 4 of of 5 for a RI accent.
