You Can Still Vote for President If You Missed RI Voter Registration Deadline, Reminds ACLU

The RI ACLU is reminding voters of their rights, leading up to the election.
The ACLU of Rhode Island is reminding people that even if they missed the Rhode Island voter registration deadline, they can still vote for President and Vice President at their local Board of Canvassers on Election Day.

With a week to go before the election, the ACLU information people of their rights, in a campaign on Facebook aimed at raising voting awareness.

* Did you know if you applied for a mail ballot but didn’t receive it or misplaced it, you will not be able to cast a regular ballot. However, you can cast a provisional ballot at the polls on Election Day.

* Did you know you do not need a witness in order to vote by mail in RI for the November election?

* Voting by mail? Your mail ballot must be received by the state Board of Elections by 8 PM on November 3 (Election Day).

* What’s early in-person voting in RI? Between now and November 2nd, you can vote in person at your local Board of Canvassers during their regular business hours.
