Providence led 33-29 at the half but in the second, Rider cut it to just one point, 33-32, with 19 minutes to play.

PC would build up their lead to as much as 15, 63-48 with 8:21 to play but Rider would battle back again.
The Broncos would get to within five points, 69-64, with two minutes to play in the game but were not able to get closer.
The Leaders
The Friars were led by Ben Bentil who netted 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for a double-double. Ben Bentil's 19 points came on 7 of 19 shooting from the field.
Jalen Lindsey had 13 points and 13 rebounds while Rodney Bullock netted 16 points and grabbed 11 boards.
Providence had three players in double-figures for the first time since March of 2015.
Health Update
Kris Dunn missed his second straight game battling a stomach virus, but was on the bench.
Ryan Fazekas is home battling mono. No time table is set for his return.
Next up
Providence hits the road to take on the UMass Minutemen on Monday, December 21 in their final game before conference play. The game will be only PC's second true road game of the season.

Kealen Ives
Providence native and Classical High School's all-time leading scorer struggled in his homecoming game, posting only 1 point and going 0 for 3 from the field.
Ives grabbed four rebounds, however, picking up two early fouls really cost him as he only played 17 minutes in the game.
Kyron Cartwright
Kyron Cartwright got the start for Providence and as the game went on, he settled in.
Cartwright poured in 13 points on 5 of 10 shooting from the field while dishing out 9 assists.
The Friars as a team had a total of 16 assists in the game.
Cartwright also grabbed three rebounds and had two steals.
Bullock & Lindsey
Rodney Bullock and Jalen Lindsey both posted double-double's for Providence in the game.
Bullock poured in 16 points on 6 of 11 shooting from the field while Lindsey poured in 13 points on 5 of 16 shooting from the field, including 3 of 12 from deep.
All of Lindsey's 13 points came in the second half.
Bullock and Lindsey grabbed 11 and 13 rebounds respectively.
Ben Bentil
With no Kris Dunn, Ben Bentil was the focal point of the Providence offense, pouring in a team leading 19 points on 7 of 19 shooting from the field.
Bentil also grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double and blocked two shots.
In 12 games played this season, Bentil is averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds per game.
2nd Chance Points
The Friars had a size advantage in this game and they used it successfully, out rebounding Rider 47-38, including 13-10 on the offensive glass.
The Friars used their 13 offensive rebounds and cashed in for 22 second chance points.
Providence won the second chance points battle 22-10.
