Anchormen advance to NCAA 2nd round

March Madness reaches the second stage for the Rhode Island College Anchormen this weekend.

Rhode Island College will host Morrisville State (NY) in second round action of the 2013 NCAA Div. III Men's Basketball Tournament at the Murray Center on campus this Saturday, March 9th at 7:00 pm.

The Anchormen, now 26-3 on the season, defeated Hobart 62-59 (OT) in the first round on Saturday, March 2.  Morrisville State (22-5) defeated Ramapo (NJ), 86-78, Saturday night.

Tickets are now on sale in the RIC Athletic Department office.

Rhode Island College won the 2013 Little East Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships, while the Morrisville State Mustangs were the North East Athletic Conference champions.
