Which is in…Subway bread.

“Caffeine is off the table,” reported the NY Post of Brady’s diet. “So is white flour, white sugar, dairy products and anything with gluten. He steers clear of veggies — tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, mushrooms — that could cause inflammation. Everything has to be organic. Brady each day tries to drink “a couple of hundred ounces” of water, usually enhanced with electrolytes. (He sells those, along with various nutritional supplements, through his TB12 site.)”
The Subway ad, which eludes to their bread as a “fragrance,” shows Brady…sniffing the bread, but not eating it.
“Seductive, irresistible yet forbidden…bready,” says the female voiceover in the Subway ad.
“Smells so good…I can almost taste it,” says Brady.
“But you don’t eat bread,” the female whispers at the end.
Brady on Record
On Sunday, Brady took to Instagram and clarified his position as a spokesperson — saying he doesn’t eat “much” bread.
"People are wondering about my new partnership with @subway. As this new commercial will tell you, I don’t eat much bread, but at the end of the day I recognize greatness when I see it," wrote Brady.
"When they told me about all the new menu items they were launching, I couldn’t resist getting in on the fun. Bready…. It’s forbidden. #Bready #SubwayPartner," he continued.
The sports world, however, had already been abuzz about the dichotomy.
"It’s an interesting choice to have a pitchman whose brand is built partially on not eating the primary component of the thing you are trying to convince people to buy," wrote Chris Korman for USA Today. "I would never consume this unhealthy food or drive this tiny car or sleep on this lumpy bed or stay at this third-rate resort or wear this poorly fitted suit but for you, the one with the heating pad on the sore back, it’s plenty!
Brady's Latest Endorsement
This past week, the Wall Street Journal reported "Brady and Gisele Bündchen to Star in $20 Million Campaign for Crypto Exchange."
"Mr. Brady and Ms. Bündchen, who in an ad titled “FTX. You In?” call acquaintances including New York Jets superfan Fireman Ed to join the platform, in June said they would be taking an equity stake in FTX," reported the WSJ.
