Brown Football Falls to 0-4 in Ivies - Assuring Another Losing Conference Season

The Brown University men’s football team fell to the Penn Quakers on Friday, 28-21.

The Bears, who are 0-4 in the Ivy League and 3-4 overall, are now assured another losing Ivy League season with three games remaining. 

The last time Brown football had a winning record in the conference was 2013.

Friday Night Lights

On Friday at Penn, the Quakers never trailed in the game but had to hold off a Bears rally in the second half to gain the victory.

Brown pulled within seven points in the final five minutes, but the comeback ultimately fell short in the nationally televised game on ESPNU.

Brown Junior quarterback James Murphy was 31-for-44 passing for 360 yards and two touchdowns.

Brown Sophomore Trevor Foley had career-highs of five catches for 99 yards and one touchdown; Senior Ty Pezza added seven catches for 91 yards and a touchdown.
