Brown Wins at Cornell, Gets First Ivy League Win of the Season

Brown University notched its first Ivy League win of the season with a 49-45 win at Cornell University. The win moves Brown to 1-2 in the Ivies and 2-4 overall.

The two teams combined for six touchdowns over the final 7:39 and three touchdowns over the final 2:27 of regulation. Brown amassed a season-high 573 yards of offense, as both teams combined for nearly 1,100 yards of total offense.

Brown's defense has given up 101 points in the past two weeks. The Bears lost to Princeton 56-42 last weekend.

The win was a statistical marvel for Brown's offense:

• Brown rushed for 298 yards, led by a career-high 97 yards from freshman Jordan DeLucia, who also had 37 yards receiving and a 56-yard touchdown run.
• Senior Allen Smith netted 88 yards on the ground and EJ Perry added 80 rushing yards.
• E. J. Perry completed 23-of-36 passes for 275 yards and four touchdowns.
• Eight different Bear receivers caught passes, led by Hayes Sutton who had five catches for 53 yards and three touchdowns. Wes Rockett also had five catches for a game-high 68 yards. Walker had three catches for 47 yards and one touchdown, which proved to be the game-winning score.

The Bears play next Saturday, Oct. 30 at Penn.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN+ and AM 790 WPRV Radio. Penn is winless in the Ivies this season.
